Bleed American

first day back at school since thanksgiving break. sometimes breaks come at the perfect time and this was a perfect example of that. now i have 2 more weeks of classes and then finals. so basically 3 weeks of school left. so stoked! then i have a 3 week break from christmas and then i go back to take 2 classes during a 3 week interterm session to catch up in my schooling.

my favorite book of all time is called "the outsiders." the female author S.E. Hinton starting writing the book when she was 15! and it was published in 1967 when she was 17. the book is about the struggles between the working class (the greasers) and the rich social class (the socs). at first the greasers seem to get all the the bad breaks in life and the socs get everything handed to them. but after diggin deeper into it you realize that life is rough all over. the west side of town sees hardship just like the east side of town does. no matter how different you think you are you all watch the same sunset at the end of the day. we all go through periods of both hardship and triumph. this is probably my tenth time reading it and it keeps getting better and better. read it. i highly recommend.

"The real problem is not why some pious, humble, believing people suffer, but why some do not." - C.S. Lewis
